In Sweden the training to become a specialist follows a formal 5 year curriculum (which has been set in cooperation by the Swedish Society of Medicin and the National Board of Mental and Social Health. It is a competence based training program with regulations about practical training within CAP, Pediatrics and Adult Psychiatry, theoretical studies and courses. The trainees have to have tutors educated in tutoring including assessment competence, pedagogics communication and ethics. During the last years 14 new courses have been developed on National level covering all main aspects of CAP. These have a common pedagogic ground including literature studies, three course days and examination task. A web platform is being used.
